Richard Cockett

Richard is an historian, writer and journalist, and is regional editor at The Economist. He has worked as a foreign correspondent in Mexico, Central America, Africa, and Singapore. His most recent books are about Sudan and Myanmar.

Dr Cindy May

Cindy is currently a Fellow in the international relations department at the London School of Economics, and has previously taught at King's College London, the UK Defence Academy, and Queen Mary University. She has also worked at the US state department twice. Her research interests include US foreign and domestic politics, Middle East politics, salafi-jihadist terrorism, and security studies.

Mark Bergman

Mark is an American lawyer who has lived in London for 18 years. He is a supporter of the US and Americas Program at Chatham House, a member of the Development Board of the Royal United Services Institute, a member of the International Advisory Council of the Crisis Group and a member of the board of trustees of the Institute for Strategic Dialogue. Mark is also a member of the National Finance Committee of the Democratic National Committee and an active fundraiser for Democrats running for national and state office in the US.
